Privacy Policy

We keep this simple because we think privacy policies should actually make sense. Dippy Goog is operated by Sew Unlimited Pty Ltd (ABN 81 123 633 205), trading as Dippy Goog, based in Tasmania, Australia. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you use Dippy Goog, we collect:

Account info — your name and email address when you sign up (via Google login or email).

Your content — recipes, shopping lists, errands, meal plans, photos, and preferences you add to the app.

Usage data — basic stuff like when you last logged in and what device you're using. We don't track you around the internet.

Payment info — if you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.

Why we collect it

To make the app work for you. That's it. Your recipes need to be stored somewhere so they're there when you come back. Your email is so you can log in and so we can contact you if something important happens (like a change to these terms). We don't use your data for advertising, profiling, or anything creepy.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. Full stop. We share data only with:

Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored securely on their infrastructure.

Stripe — for payment processing only.

Vercel — hosts the website.

That's the list. No analytics companies, no ad networks, no data brokers.

Family sharing

If you share your shopping list via a link, anyone with that link can see and add to your current list and errands. They can't see your recipes, account details, or anything else. You can disable sharing at any time from your settings, which immediately revokes access.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored on servers managed by Supabase. These may be located outside Australia. By using the service, you consent to this transfer. We ensure our providers maintain appropriate security standards.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in. That's it. No tracking cookies, no third-party cookies, no cookie banners because we don't need them.

Your rights

Under Australian privacy law, you can:

• Access the personal data we hold about you

• Ask us to correct anything that's wrong

• Ask us to delete your account and all associated data

• Export your recipes and data

Just email us and we'll sort it out. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as you have an account. If you delete your account, we'll remove your personal data within 30 days. Some anonymised, aggregated data (like total user counts) may be retained but can't be linked back to you.

Children

You need to be at least 16 to create an account. Family members of any age can use a shared list link, but that doesn't require an account or any personal data.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we'll let you know via email or a notice in the app. Minor wording changes may happen without notice. The “last updated” date at the top will always reflect when this was last changed.
